Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These are the terms for using Casanote ("we", "us"). Plain language on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Casanote is
Casanote lets short-term-rental hosts create web-based house guides and share them with guests via links and QR codes. That's it — we're not a booking platform, property manager, or channel manager.
Your account
- You sign in with an email address and password (handled by Google Firebase Authentication); keep your password safe and your inbox reachable for resets.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- One account per person or business is plenty; don't create accounts to dodge plan limits.
Your content
- Guide content (text, photos, links) is yours. You give us permission to store and display it to the people you share your guide with — that's the whole product.
- You're responsible for what you publish: don't post content you don't have rights to, and don't use guides for anything illegal, deceptive, or harmful.
- Guides often contain sensitive details like door codes. We hide guides from search engines and offer passcodes, but you choose what to include and who gets the link — treat the link like a key.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan is free forever: 1 property with the full editor and QR kit.
- Pro is $9/month or $72/year, billed through our payment providers (RevenueCat and Stripe). Card details never touch our servers.
- You can cancel any time; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If Pro lapses, extra properties aren't deleted — you just can't have more than one active free property, so the rest can be archived until you resubscribe.
- If we ever offer a lifetime deal, "lifetime" means the lifetime of the product — for as long as Casanote operates.
Fair use
"Unlimited properties" means unlimited real properties you manage — not a free CDN, a link farm, or a reseller white-label. We may throttle or refuse clearly abusive usage (spam, malware, illegal content, extreme automated load).
Availability and data
- We run Casanote carefully but modestly (that's how it stays affordable). We target high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
- We back up data nightly. Still: keep your own copy of truly critical information.
- You can export your content by asking support, and delete your account the same way — deletion removes your guides and photos permanently within 30 days.
Liability
Casanote is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damages — lost bookings, lost profits, or issues between you and your guests. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Questions: support@casanote.app.
