House guide

The Salt Air Beach House

Welcome & essentials

Welcome to Salt Air!

We're Maya & Tom, and we're so glad you're here. The house has been in the family since the 80s — treat it like your own and the ocean will do the rest.

Wi-Fi

Network: SaltAir_Guest
Password: rollingwaves22

The router lives in the hallway closet if it ever needs a restart (hold the button 10 seconds).

Address & parking

14 Dune Lane, Seabrook

  • Park both cars in the sand driveway — it's firmer than it looks
  • Overflow parking on the street is fine May–September
  • GPS sometimes sends people to Dune *Court* — you want Dune Lane

Your hosts

Maya & Tom — text or WhatsApp +1 (555) 010-2244 any time between 8 AM and 10 PM. For anything urgent after hours, call twice and we'll pick up.

Check-in

Getting in

  • Check-in from 4:00 PM
  • The lockbox is mounted to the left of the front door, behind the surfboard
  • Code: 2244 — press the code, then pull the black lever down
  • The house key and the beach-gate key are both inside

Jiggle the front door handle up while turning the key; ocean air makes it sticky.

House manual

Outdoor shower

The best shower you'll ever take. Left tap is hot — give it 30 seconds. Rinse sandy feet before going inside and the house stays lovely for everyone.

Thermostat & ceiling fans

Thermostat is in the hallway. Summer: leave it at 74°F with the ceiling fans on — the cross-breeze does the real work. The fan remotes live on the fridge.

TV & streaming

The living-room TV is on HDMI 1 for streaming. Sign in to your own Netflix/Hulu — and please sign out on checkout day. The soundbar turns on with the TV automatically.

Grill

Gas grill on the back deck. The propane valve is under the left side shelf — open it fully, then use the igniter. Spare tank in the shed. Please scrape the grates after use; brush hangs on the hook.

Beach gear

Everything in the shed is yours to use: chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, the good cooler. Rinse with the hose, let it dry, put it back. The beach wagon's left wheel pulls right — you'll get used to it.

House rules

House rules

  • Quiet hours 10 PM – 8 AM (sound carries over the dunes)
  • No smoking anywhere on the property
  • No parties or events — guests on the booking only
  • Sandy feet stay on the deck until rinsed
  • Please don't feed the seagulls. They remember. They tell their friends.

Local recommendations

Coffee & breakfast

Driftwood Coffee — 5-minute walk up Shore Road. Get the brown-butter muffin before 9 AM or it's gone. Map

Seafood dinner

The Wharf Shack — looks like a shed, cooks like a dream. Cash only, worth it. Order the daily catch, whatever it is. Map

Groceries

Seabrook Market for basics (8-minute walk). The big supermarket is a 12-minute drive inland — go there for a full shop. Map

The quiet beach

Turn left out of the beach gate and walk 10 minutes past the jetty. Locals-only stretch, no crowds even in August.
